Information Collection and Use
ISTours reserves the right to collect information on its Web sites at two (2) different stages. First, we may collect anonymous, aggregate information (such as domain name or IP address) from all visitors to the sites. This type of information is never linked to any personally identifiable information and is only used in the aggregate to generate statistical reports about the use of our sites.
Second, we may require the submission of certain personally identifiable information when you use services available on the sites. For example, we will collect contact information when you request information and we will collect credit card information when you make a payment online.
Personal Information of Children Under 13
ISTours complies with the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the FTC’s Rule interpreting COPPA (16 CFR § 512). When children under the age of thirteen (13) attempt to register for travel, ISTours asks for a parent or guardian to provide consent before we collect any registration information. Children should always ask a parent for permission before sending personal information to anyone online.
Use of Your Personal Information
It is necessary for ISTours to collect personal information when you register for travel on our Web site. We need information such as your name, address, e-mail address, birth date, gender, the school where you attend or teach, and credit card information in order to register you for travel. ISTours may also use this information to contact you about other information, services, or products related to your trip, such as cancellation insurance, in which you might be interested.
Upon registration, you will be provided with a traveler identification number with which you can access your individual travel profile. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your traveler identification number, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur with respect to your traveler identification number. You agree to immediately notify ISTours of any unauthorized use of your traveler identification number.
Because our travel services are offered in conjunction with the services of other companies such as airlines, hotels, and other tour operators, ISTours reserves the right to share your personal information with other entities. Please refer to our Terms of Use regarding how your personal information may be shared. ISTours may disclose information about you, such as your name and/or address to companies unrelated to the travel services to be rendered, unless you inform us that you do not wish such personal information to be sold or otherwise distributed.
If ISTours believes that you are violating ISTours’ Terms of Use or are causing injury through interference or otherwise, ISTours will disclose personal information necessary to identify, contact, and/or bring legal action against you.
Use of Aggregate Information
We may store information that we collect through log files to create a profile of our users. Log files record internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser types, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track a customer’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. A profile is stored information detailing how individual customers use the site. It is used primarily for internal purposes, to help us improve the experience of our customers.
Disclosure of Personal Information As Required By Law
ISTours will disclose site user personal information when required by law, or if we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on us.
Business Transitions
In the event ISTours goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of a portion of its assets, our customers’ personal information may be part of the assets transferred.
